About the Course
Japanese side sewn Bookbinding Workshop at The Hangout, Llandeilo
Early Bird tickets are £17.50 (available until 4th February). Link to ticket sales is at the top of the page
In this workshop you are going to learn three different stitches of the traditional Japanese sewn sewn bookbinding method.
This bookbinding method is using stacked sheets of paper, rather than folded sheets of paper, stacked into signatures to create a notebook.
You will be learning the four hole, the noble and the hemp leaf stitches and in the process you'll be binding three individual notebooks in this workshop.
This method of bookbinding is perfect for creating notebooks, sketchbooks and photo albums.
You can also use this method for binding your children's (or your own) artwork into a beautiful book, create an inspiration journal from images and magazine cuttings or bind a mixed paper art journal.
Time permitting, you are also going to learn how to create your own templates for creating different sizes of notebooks.
I have created a series of YouTube videos, for my students, showing the individual stitches, as well as how to create your own templates and everybody attending this workshop will get access to those videos.
You will be able to purchase coffees and cake (!) during the workshop.
There's free parking outside "The Hangout"
