About the Course
The ancient art of Japanese marbling is also known as Suminagashi. It is the truly exciting process of marbling plain paper with water and ink to transform it into something vibrant and colourful. Suminagashi originated in Japan as early as the 12th century.
Join us for this fun-filled day where you will learn the magic of Suminagashi. During your day you will produce a number of unique marbled papers to take home with you. These can be used for card-making, book-making, for special letters, or simply framing and displaying in your home with pride.
Whether your interest lies in working with paper, exploring inks and new techniques, or whether you simply enjoy trying new arts and crafts, then this is the workshop for you. It is about exploring and is beautifully experimental – all with the guidance of your experienced tutor.
