About the Course

Join our upholstery workshop and learn how to make your own footstool in a day.

Our Classic Footstool workshop, in collaboration with The Ministry of Upholstery, is a perfect introduction for those keen to learn basic upholstery.

You will start the day by making the stool from scratch, using a solid hardwood frame, and will be taken through each of the stages to build-up the stool learning techniques from webbing, applying hessian, wadding, cutting and attaching the fabric, using professional upholstery tools.

You will also be introduced to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ to paint the legs of your stool to complement the fabric. This is a fun and fulfilling day. Great to come along in groups or perfect just for one.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Everything for the workshop is provided, including lunch and refreshments. Just bring along 1 metre of fabric to cover your stool.

Best day out for a very long time. Making my footstool was very enjoyable and therapeutic. I came away with a beautiful piece of furniture as well as a new skill and sense of achievement. Amazing lunch too. Would definitely recommend this course with Caroline.
