What is Zentangle® ?
The Zentangle Method was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We refer to these patterns as tangles and they are formed with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs.
Together this selection of shapes form the Elemental Strokes used in Zentangle art, and are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles" - appropriately named, because they can be assembled into gorgeous mosaics.

Beautiful and satisfying results are achievable for absolutely everyone - all you need is the desire to have a go, and a little self-belief! All materials are provided for use during the workshop.

Zentangle is a calming and unrushed activity and has a positive influence on mental health, creativity, problem solving and focus. It is accessible to everyone, children and adults alike, and is mindful, intuitive, timeless, portable and most importantly – FUN! There are no prizes for finishing first, it is all about slowing down, giving your brain a break and relaxing, enjoying the process and admiring the results.

The simple step-by-step method is easy to pick up and inexpensive to continue with at home.
