Introduction to willow sculpture workshop at your leisure ( online course)



Create a selection of items to decorate your home and garden, a lovely introduction to willow sculpture for anyone wishing to make a couple of small items. And a great way to connect with family and friends via a virtual workshop space.

Choose 2 items to make during this workshop. Items include hearts, flowers, and leaves, dragonflies, butterflies, bird feeders, bees, and fish.

You will need to have good hand dexterity and strength. The workshop is suitable for families and older children, if you wish to do the activity with younger children they will need assistance.

PLEASE NOTE if you wish to cancel your order and the kit has been sent out you must return the kit unused and at your own expense before the refund will be authorized. If the link to the workshop has been sent you will not be able to cancel your order.

What's included in the price?

I will send you the willow that you need to complete the project and a document with instructions on how to prepare the willow in advance.
If you have your own willow dried or fresh please contact me so that I can advise you if it is suitable and if it is how to prepare the materials,
If the materials you have are suitable I will charge a reduced fee for the workshop please contact me to discuss.
Please note that you will need to allow time for the willow to be delivered and allow time for soaking.

Please contact me to discuss the workshops that you wish to do, you will need a suitable space to soak and prepare the willow you can choose from.
Buff willow (stripped willow) which will take 2 days to prepare or brown (with bark) willow which will take 5 - 6 days to prepare.

What you will need

You will need
A computer or tablet with sound and access to watching the video via the internet.

A pair of secateurs or wire cutters/ pliers to cut the willow and plenty of room to move around ( willow is long it's easier to knock things over)

You will need somewhere to soak the willow e.g. a bath, old paddling pool, pond, makeshift container. covered in plastic sheeting, water butt, etc
Some large towels/ or sheets.
A large round food can or similar
A ruler and if you are using buff willow a water spray or sponge
