About the Course
‘An Introduction to Vitreous Enamelling with Naomi Nevill' is a one day course tailored towards people who would like begin to add enamel to jewellery.
We are pleased to be able to offer a choice of two beginners courses on consecutive days that demonstrate two differing techniques.
If you take the option of the Freestyle course, it will offer you the chance to try opaque enamels. You will be making testers out of 2p pieces, cutting your own stencils then sieving and painting enamel. Freestyle enamelling gives you the opportunity to be really inventive with the finishes, layering and application techniques, no two pieces will be alike. For your last tester you can choose your own copper or silver blank shape, which can be made into a pendant or key ring.
Naomi is a talented and award winning young enameller and we are delighted to be offering her courses here at The Silversmithing Studio. The Silversmithing Studio is a dedicated tuition studio based at Henstead Arts and Crafts Centre, which is set in a tranquil location in rural Suffolk.
Course times are 09.30 to 16.00 with a lunch break, and morning and afternoon refreshment breaks.
For the Traditional option day, please see our separate listing.
