About the Course

An Introduction to making a Straw Hat using traditional Millinery techniques and processes.

You will be shown how to use traditional wooden hat blocks to create a shape of your own.

We will look at proportion, shape and style. As well as edges, finishing techniques and trimmings.

The aim is to create one complete hat that fits you!

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools and basic materials will be included in the cost of the course plus a small materials cost of £12 (payable to the tutor, in cash at the first session please)

You will need to purchase any additional trimmings that you would like to use to decorate your hat. The tutor will advise and help you select these and where to buy them from.
