Join us for this enjoyable and creative hands-on workshop which introduces you to the wonderful world of stained glass. Using the jewel like qualities of glass you will learn to make your own delightful seaside themed suncatchers.
This is a guided workshop suitable for both beginners and those with some experience and everyone will be working at the same pace during the day. At each stage in the process, Caroline will begin with a practical demonstration so that everyone is clear what they need to do next.

You will have a glorious choice of Seaside designs to work from including beach huts, seagulls, boats, fish, seahorses, lighthouses, ......! all of which are suitable for those with little or no experience.
At the end of the course, you will have learnt many new skills and will take home your very own Glass Suncatchers to be proud of as well as a new skill for life!
You will learn to:
Cut glass safely and competently
Choose an appropriate selection of glass for your project
Cut glass to a prepared pattern
Grind glass safely and effectively
Wrap each piece of glass neatly in copperfoil
Flux ready for soldering
Use a soldering iron safely
Tin each piece
Solder the pieces together
Attach hooks and decorative wire details
Apply patina
