Are you and your family considering a new way of life? Thinking 'The Good Life'? Struggling to find somewhere for all the family to experience smallholding life? Well, look no further. We offer an introduction to smallholding for all the family.
We will run through the things you need to consider when buying a property and choosing livestock.
You will have the chance to get hands on with the animals too. Learn how to trim the hooves of goats or sheep, check the teats of a sow by making her lie down. We have pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, horses, hens and ducks for you to meet.
We will also help you to consider using everything on your property. How about making apple sauce from the apple trees in your garden or jam from the berries in the hedgerow?
If there is something in particular that you would like to focus on, let us know. This weekend is just for your family, so we can tailor it to suit you.
Bring wellies and waterproofs!
Please note that the wellbeing of our animals is of the utmost importance, therefore, poor behaviour cannot be tolerated. Children must be supervised when on the smallholding and not left unattended.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Lunch is provided, along with drinks and homemade cake during the day.
