About the Course

Earrings, Bracelet with charm, Necklace with pendant and a Set of stacking rings.

This is a class for beginners, introducing you to the art of making jewellery. You will learn how to cut and shape silver, applying textures with a variety of tools and rolling techniques, soldering with a small blow torch to bond two pieces of metal together, and the process of ‘cleaning up’ your samples to give them a polished finish. Each day you will aim to leave with a finished piece, with an extra session to catch up on creative endeavors or if ahead to create a new piece of your choice.
Silver is included for the 4 projects, and further an be purchased if creating larger or additional pieces.
(The price of these as individual workshops at the studio is £222)

What you will make in each class:

Create your own silver earrings.
Design and create your own simple earrings from a piece of silver, Sawing, texturing, soldering and forming, before connecting it to silver hook or stud fastenings.

Making a bracelet.
Design and create your own simple charm from a piece of silver, before connecting it to a silver chain to make a bracelet.

Design and make your own silver pendant.
Design and create your own simple pendant from a piece of silver, before connecting it to a silver chain.

Skinny stacking rings .
Create a set of three textured skinny rings that can be stacked together or worn separately.

East Nook Studio is an inviting space with a friendly atmosphere, set in an old Malt Barn in the Centre of St Andrews.
