My name is Paula and I teach all of our courses personally. I am a qualified PMC Instructor with both Levels 1 and 2 Certification and this is my ninth year teaching courses in metal clay.
Combined with over 15 years experience producing and selling jewellery (9 years producing Fingerprint Jewellery) which I have created using both traditional silversmithing techniques and metal clays, I feel I have the understanding and background knowledge to provide a course that stands out from the rest. Each course is packed full of additional information, tips and tricks used in the jewellery making business including how to make your own sterling silver earring fittings, jumprings and head pins etc.
The workshop is purpose built and fully equipped with two Paragon kilns, soldering station and more texture mats and cutters than even I have had the opportunity to use. In fact I'd probably hazard a guess that I've got the best selection of mats and cutters that you are likely to find on any course in the country. I only teach in small groups (minimum 2 maximum 6) so there is ample opportunity for individual attention. Students are encouraged to ask questions and the atmosphere is informal and relaxed.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?

Paula is a great tutor and working with PMC was a thoroughly therapeutic experience. I had no prior knowledge of silver clay but it’s easy to work with. I came away from the introduction day with 3 stunning and unique pendants and a cute pair of earrings. Highly recommended.

What an enjoyable day. Not only is Paula an interesting and exceeding knowledgeable teacher, but her explanations are simple and easy to follow. I came home with two pendants and two pair of earrings, form what initially seemed quite a small piece of clay. But more importantly I returned with a wealth of new knowledge which I am looking forward to putting into practice. Thank-you so much for sharing your knowledge Paula. I hope to return soon.

I attended Paula's Introduction to Silver Clay course yesterday & have to say it was absolutely excellent & amazing value. Four of us bombarded Paula all day with loads of questions & pleas for help with our designs and she happily helped with everything. She is a very knowledgeable tutor in Silver Clay, so this really added to the course as I came away, not only with 3 lovely pendants but also lots of information about the product itself. The day also felt relaxed and fun as we managed to have a few laughs along the way. If you want to have a go at this interesting craft, don't hesitate, just do it as you will be amazed by the jewellery you produce and take home with you. Can't recommend highly enough!

This is an excellent course and I would definitely recommend it. Paula is so knowledgable and friendly, answering all our questions in detail.
We all had a good laugh and came away with new skills and many beautiful items of jewellery.
I can't wait to start making more at home.
Thank you so much for a great day.

My sister and I attended Paula's Introduction Course recently. We were both complete beginners, in fact my sister didn't have a clue what silver clay was and really only came to keep me company. We had a wonderful day with our fellow students. Paula was so full of knowledge and enthusiasm and great fun. We learnt so much in this lovely relaxed atmosphere and all of us vowed to return for other courses to further our knowledge.
We came away with an assortment of lovely wearable jewellery. One lady left wearing her earrings and matching pendant with great pride.
Thank you Paula
