10 week printmaking course in London - one afternoon per week. Beginners welcome.
This Introduction to Printmaking course is a practical studio based programme and combines structured teaching and informal workshop time. You will gain a good overview of the printmaking media and grounding in a wide range of techniques such as Drypoint, Collagraph, Lino cut, Monoprinting, Etching and Photo-Etching.
You will learn to work in the light and the well-equipped print studio with specialist facilities and develop your ideas and imagery into a portfolio of creative prints. You will be introduced to each printmaking technique by demonstration while looking at the work of other artists.
These classes are aimed at beginners, those who wish to re-fresh their printmaking skills and those who have a basic arts experience in any other visual arts discipline.

What's included in the price?
There is a studio fee of £16.50 payable each term to the tutor which covers basic materials, except paper and plates which you pay extra for as you use them. All materials are available to buy in the studio.
You need to bring: a sketchbook and some art equipment such as pencils, eraser, a range of brushes, Stanley knife, scissors and apron. You will also need heavy duty rubber gloves which can be bought in the studio.
