These termly courses combine structured teaching, informal workshop time and are designed as part of a year’s programme but can also be taken individually. You will gain a good overview of the printmaking media and grounding in a wide range of techniques such as Drypoint, Collagraph, Lino cut, Monoprinting, Etching and Photo-Etching.
In Term 1 (Autumn) covering aspects of Drypoint, Collagraph, Linocut and Monoprint In Term 2 (Spring) we focus on Photo Etching and in Term 3 (Summer) we focus on Traditional Etching.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
• You will have a gained a good understanding of a wide range of printmaking techniques and processes and be able to select the most suitable media to explore your ideas and projects.
Entry requirements: The course is suitable for those new to printmaking, those who wish to re-fresh their printmaking skills and those who have a basic arts experience in any other visual arts discipline.
