Workshops are held in our dedicated Powertex Studio in Hartlepool, with adjacent car parking and close to the train station. The days workshop will be taught by fully qualified and Powertex certified tutors who can advise on all aspects of this new fabulous creative hobby.
We adhere to all social distancing and safety principles with limited places available. Face coverings are optional.
This full days workshop is a unique chance to get together with a friend or family member and create a day of memories and fun. You will start by creating a tall approx 18 inch stand and head for your Angel. Then step by step, you will be taught the principles of working with Powertex, a universal fabric hardener and how it works with different natural fabrics as you slowly build up your figure from the base and start to dress her.
Then we create her beautiful angel wings using lightweight draped fabrics and lace for that ethereal look, and add the finishing touches to her garments before popping her into the drying cabinet.
There will be plenty of time during the day for refreshment breaks and a spot of lunch and cake.
Once your angel has become touch dry, you will be taught the principles of dry brush painting techniques using pigments to colour her in a style of your choice.
You will leave at the end of the day with your unique Angel statuette. It will take 3 days to dry off properly, but after 3 weeks it can even go outside as a garden feature.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

Refreshments through the day but you are welcome to bring a snack for lunch.
