About the Course

Running over 10 consecutive Monday evenings, this fully tutored course will introduce a range of approaches to painting portraits in oils from life. The course will involve making short studies and as well as more sustained paintings from our models under Jael’s instruction, covering the basics of handling oil paint, oil painting techniques and practical paint mixing.

This session is taught by artist and teacher Jael O’Connor. This is course for all abilities, including those who have never painted in oils before – some portrait drawing experience is recommended in order to make the most of the course.
