About the Course

A two day course designed for Lingerie startups that covers the basics of getting an idea to production. We will cover the essential documents, sourcing your materials, and finding a manufacturer.

A lingerie business starts with a great idea, but there's a long process from dreaming up a great concept to having product ready for market. This course is specifically designed for entrepreneurs who are looking to work with small scale manufacturers in order to produce high quality items of lingerie ready for market. We will look at the basic documentation that you need in order to work successfully with a manufacturer, and end up with garments finished to your specifications and standards. We will discuss sourcing your materials, fittings, binding, and labelling in a way that is appropriate for you desired scale. We will talk through the most effective ways to work with your manufacturer, and how to confidently build a relationship to grow your business from. Participants should bring a developed design to the class (drawings front and back as a minimum), designs that are already cut and sampled would be an advantage
