Introduction to Leatherwork


Leather worker Ruth Pullan specialises in creating hand stitched bags and accessories using high quality British materials. Join her for this leatherwork workshop which will give you the basic skills needed for working with leather. Using these skills you will make a belt and a simple coin purse and at the end of the day you will be able to go on to apply these techniques to your own projects.

You will learn how to:

– dye and prepare leather

– hand stitch using the two needle saddlery method

– fit buckles and other fastenings

– edge and finish the leather

Please bring with you - £20 cash for materials payable to the tutor on the day.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
