About the Course

This course is designed to give those new to green woodworking a taste of a variety of the skills and techniques that are used when working green wood.

During the 2 days you will undertake some simple green wood projects such as spoon carving or making pegs on the Shave Horse. We will introduce you to the Pole Lathe, how to set it up, and how to use it, and get you started on some turning.

In between you will undertake the slightly larger project of making a three legged stool.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools and materials will be provided.

Tea and coffee from our Kelly kettle are continuous throughout the day and we will offer a simple hearty lunch from local suppliers.

And at the end of the weekend you will be able to take home all of your projects, and hopefully a completed stool!
