This Fashion Styling course is perfect for everyone with creative flair and interest in fashion styling, eager to expand their knowledge and learn new skills. You will be introduced to the world of storytelling and look at examples of fashion imagery for fashion editorial styling, whilst gaining an insight into the necessary skills required, to become a fashion stylist.
You will learn about the role of fashion stylist and examine contemporary fashion trends. Gain in-depth knowledge and the skills used to research and find inspiration for a commercially set up creative brief. Learn how to communicate and present your creative ideas by developing a concept. Use an online publishing platform to enable you to design and producing your own online fashion editorial publication.

This online course is highly practical. Each week you will meet your tutor and fellow students to exchange ideas. You will develop your skills by engaging with suitable projects determined by your existing level of experience, in discussion with the tutor. Teaching is both whole class and on an individual, one-to-one basis using demonstrations, discussion, examples, samples and other technical support material where appropriate. You will be able to negotiate individual learning goals with the tutor.
You will be introduced to relevant websites & books to support your learning. There will be an emphasis on sharing knowledge through group discussion enabling you to reflect on and critique the work of yourself and others.
Typical Activities - Throughout the course you will be engaged in creative activities, presentations, and discussions alongside some element of self-directed study to complete practical tasks and final assignment. You will be introduced and taught to use the online publishing platform to present and produce your own professional fashion imagery for your final project outcome.
Assessment methods - Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the learning outcomes above. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e.: progression to further study.
Online platform/apps used to support learning include Moodle, Microsoft Teams, JooMag and PowerPoint alongside additional online learning resources such Social Media, YouTube videos, Pinterest, Fashion online publications and articles which will be available to view on Moodle before and after each lesson.
You will have regular constructive and supportive personal feedback from your tutor in order to ensure you make the best possible progress on your course.
