Our Introduction to Embroidery masterclass is a great way to explore this wonderful art for complete beginners.

You will learn about appropriate fabrics, how to transfer your design and frame up your piece ready for sewing.

Learn the professional way to execute a range of essential stitches which will give you a good foundation for most techniques and allow you to create pieces on your own.

Discover the difference between the many types of embroidery thread available and their application.

Upon completion of this course you will have the necessary skills to attempt projects on your own.

Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project.

Approx 8 hours but there really is no limit.

Basic skills required:
No previous skill is required but you will need fairly good eye sight (or your glasses) and be able to hold a sewing needle.

Your kit is carefully hand packed by your tutor, checked and double checked, but if we have missed anything, then just let us know.

Our embroidery kits are packed in our studio which does use natural animal fibres.

Parcels valued over £20.00 have to be sent via the signed for service unless requested otherwise at the buyers own risk.

- Spiral bound, lay flat course booklet (English text), designs and tracing paper.
- All threads necessary to complete the project. (These will be Madeira or DMC).
- Needle book containing the appropriate high quality John James needles and needle threader.
- Our Maire Curtis mini prick and pounce kit.
- Complimentary embroidery designs.

All presented in a box which you can use to keep your work clean as you stitch.
