Join us at White Cottage Baking School, in the heart of rural Cambridgeshire, a few miles down the road from Grantchester and the historic City of Cambridge. All our workshops are run from our 17th Century cottage, a popular venue for photo shoots and foodie gatherings. We offer a range of artisan baking workshops and retreats, but believe in getting the basics right. On this introductory workshop, we teach you the principles of good bread-making, demystifying the whole process into simple manageable stages. We'll give you the confidence to make, bake and enjoy your own loaves at home.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Everything you need for the day will be provided, including aprons, ingredients and equipment. We begin with a welcome breakfast as everyone gathers ready for the day. Breaktime is freshly brewed tea or ground coffee with sweet treats from the bakery, and at lunch you will enjoy a wide range of fresh seasonal dishes (from the cottage garden, wherever possible) and, of course, delicious bread! You leave with greater understanding and the skills to take you on your very own bread journey, together with a bag brimming with freshly baked loaves. We hope you will join us.
