About the Course
Hot metal, a roaring fire and an anvil. This heritage craft would once have been found in every village but is now a rare sight. We’re very fortunate at Sacrewell to be able to offer one-to-one lessons (or one-to-two if you want to work with a friend or relative) with our resident blacksmith Dave.
In this full day Introduction to Blacksmithing workshop (10:30am till 4:30pm) you’ll have the chance to try your hand at several different blacksmithing techniques. You’ll then put them into practice to make three different tools which you can take home and use to develop your new hobby. As you work, Dave will share with you his knowledge and experience from years of working with metal.
If you'd like to try your hand at blacksmithing but don't have a full day to spare, we also offer half day workshops and half-hour taster sessions.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
