About the Course

Intermediate watercolour workshop led by Phil Alder: 'Letting the brush dance' using watercolour for texture rhythm local colour and light.

The workshop will look at a 'dry on dry' approach and how it encourages spontaneity. We will also touch on the other more familiar ways with watercolour and consider how they can be used alongside dry on dry.

In the 1980's Phillip developed his dry on dry watercolour technique in a series of touring exhibitions about nature, gardens, architecture, people and providence.

Watercolour remains an important medium for Phil Alder and his larger watercolours are currently selling mainly in America for several hundred pounds.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
