About the Course

A workshop for people who have attended the ‘Needle Punch Beginners’ workshop, or for those with basic punch needle skills that would like to expand their knowledge.

The course price includes 7 hours of guided tuition, use of punch needles (including an Oxford punch needle) and stretcher frame, and all materials including monks cloth, wool felt (for backing your cushion) and a selection of rug yarns. Sara will guide you through creating different textures for your abstract punch needle cushion including finger loops and tufting.

Sewing machines will be used to finish the cushions, please do bring yours with you if you would prefer to use that.

A significant amount of the workshop will be punching, with some breaks for stretching those hands!

You will be given your own clear workshop handouts to take away with you.

You will have the opportunity to buy the stretcher frame and punch needles at the end of the workshop.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the session but please do bring a packed lunch with you.

Spaces are limited to ensure you receive as much guidance as you need so we shall have a maximum number of 6 students per session.

Please note that places on our workshops are non-refundable. We automatically send out a voucher as part of the booking process so it makes a great gift for someone too! See images for a picture of one.

Sara Moore from Whole Punching is a punch needle artist and instructor based in Bristol, UK. Outside of running punch needle workshops, you’ll find Sara in her studio creating original designs.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
