About the Course
This super, challenging course that takes you further into this wonderful craft, the course introduces you to new techniques and challenges. You must be a confident beginner and understand basics of piecing, cutting and how to put a quilt together.

Below is the order of techniques with dates: each session can be individually booked for £25.
10th October – Dresden Plate 7th November – New York Beauty 12th December – Bargello
16h January – Celtic Knot 13th Feb – Sashiko 13th March – Applique
10th April – Bouquet Block 8th May – Box Block 12th June – Lone Star

This 10 lesson class gives you 4 hour intense technique learning more accomplished quilting techniques. You will be making a Sampler Quilt of blocks, or cushions, or whatever, so that you can acquire the skills of those techniques and make you a proficient Intermediate Quilter! The variety of techniques addressed in this class range from creating a Bargello design and piecing; Celtic knots at a level to challenge you; Machine Applique using many and various threads; discovering the wonders of Sashiko; Strip Piecing a New York Beauty Block; a Lone Star block and cracking those inset seams; Perspective Boxes – (inset piecing); and the glories of Dresden Plate.
Also learn about interfacings, tension, needles, threads, and many other methods to make your quilt.

What's included in the price?
You need to provide a sewing machine, its manual and its bits. A sewing kit, threads, scissors, pins, as well as the fabric to make your quilt.
We have cutting mats, cutters and rulers as well as irons and ironing boards for your use.
You will be provided with comprehensive notes as well as further teaching notes than that described above. Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided but you need to bring your lunch.
