Inspired by Gaudi fused glass workshop

About the Course
This workshop, spread over a weekend, is inspired by Gaudi's mosaic decorative technique. On the first day (half day), we will make our own patterned tiles and fuse them. On the second day, we will break up the tiles and rework them to form a unique fused glass piece. This is can either be 'slumped' into a dish or you can frame it.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability. No previous glass fusing experience required. All students from 16+ welcome provided they are able to work relatively independently and have a reasonable level of dexterity.
Yvonne is an experienced fused glass tutor and artist at Creek Creative Studios in Faversham, Kent. Numbers in each class are kept small for lots of individual attention. Classroom has disabled access (toilets require walking up a slope or stairs) and disabled parking can be arranged in advance.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All basic materials and equipment are provided in the cost of the workshop. Tea/coffee/soft drinks and a snack will be available on each day.
Lunch is not included in the cost but Creek Creative Studios has an award winning free-from cafe and is also based in the town centre so you will have plenty of options for food. In addition, you can purchase specialist dichroic glass if you want to use it. This is not required and most students are happy to stick to the free materials on offer.
