About the Course
One day oil painting workshop - suitable for beginners or advanced. Second day workshop available.
Join Roger Dellar for this studio based workshop and discover his process and techniques for creating an oil painting from start to finish. Roger will be with us for two days, each structured as an individual workshop, but which can be combined to increase the intensity of the experience and the continuity of the learning and practice.
This workshop will cover what makes a successful composition, how the approach to working makes a picture cohesive and techniques for painting convincing water and reflections. Using a limited pallet he will also teach you how to simplify colour mixing, allowing you to work faster; an invaluable skill if you want to work plein air.
As a highly successful gallery artist Roger has a wealth of experience to share with his students, making this an exceptionally fulfilling event. Roger is equally happy teaching beginners and experienced artists, making this workshop open to anyone who has a desire to paint.
