About the Course

Learn to throw a pot! I have been teaching pottery in schools and to individuals for nearly forty years and am very happy to offer one-to-one tuition to beginners and the more experienced. I can tailor the course to suit you and we can concentrate on throwing on my electric wheel or focus more on slab building or coil work.

I also teach the next stages; turning the leather-hard pots, decorating and glazing and all work produced will be returned to you glazed and finished as part of the course price. The choice is yours. I work from my large garage so do not expect luxurious surroundings although the views across our cider orchard are stunning.

Making pots is fun! If you've struggled with Evening Classes in the past and need your confidence building, this is the course for you. I work from Easter until November as the studio is unheated. Christmas and birthday presents of pottery lessons have been very popular gifts and dates can be arranged to suit you.

If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
