Spend the day learning about the process of dyeing with indigo dye. Indigo is one of the oldest textile dyes and through various techniques you can create distinctive patterns on fabric. Throughout the day you will make samples of dyed fabric that can be used for further projects. Some white cotton will be provided but you may wish to bring some cotton lace, white string, cotton rag paper, or a white cotton top or shirt to dye, white cotton jeans would also be suitable to dye.
