About the Course
Discover how to give seated massage of the upper back, shoulders, neck and head to relieve stress and tension. Students are fully clothed and will learn practical skills to treat family and friends.
Who is this course for
No previous knowledge necessary. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn some practical massage skills for treating friends and family.
Massage is generally safe for everyone but there are conditions when it is not suitable, such as in the first trimester of pregnancy. Please check with a health professional if you have any health concerns.
What does this course cover
The course will provide some background knowledge of the history of Indian Head Massage.
You will learn about - contraindication, -basic anatomy and physiology of the back, neck and head
- classic massage techniques, - the pros and cons of using oils for massage
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Give a basic Indian Head Massage treatment
Understand basic anatomy and physiology of the key areas we work on
Know when it is not safe to massage.
