About the Course
Have you ever wondered how an image or object became encapsulated inside a piece of glass?
'An "inclusion" is a material that is trapped within the layers of glass when it's fused in a kiln. Inclusions can give a piece texture, depth, meaning, character and colour that glass alone cannot achieve.'
In this workshop you will be invited to explore and experiment with a range of exciting specialist materials, including metals, coloured powders and compounds organic materials when you create both inclusion samplers and a developed composition through these processes.
Previous glass making experience is not needed., just bring your spirit of curiosity. Sources will be available to inspire your creative journey. However, if you have a starting point or theme you would like to explore you will be fully supported.
No previous experience is necessary, just bring your spirit of curiosity.
The workshop facilities are on located on the ground floor. Please note that bathroom facilities are located on the first floor.
Times - The workshop will commence at 1.00 pm and close at 3.30 pm
