About the Course
An adult intensive course run over two Sundays, aimed at intermediate level needle felters who would like to improve their equine makes and add a better sense of realism.
Tutor Natalie Brooks (Harris) is a fine artist using needle felting, the creator of Roly Poly Ponies and a long time horse addict with a HND in equine science as well as a fine art degree.
Natalie will spend time discussing proportions and giving an insight into equine anatomy which could help create a better understanding of how a horse is built, how they move and therefore give you an edge when it comes to sculpting your own equine.
This workshop will be run over two Sundays. In the first session you will design your equine (you can choose to make a horse, pony, donkey or zebra on this course), make an armature from wire and a set of hooves from polymer clay. You will also start to use core wool to create the bulk of your sculpture.
On the second session, you will add colour, details, a mane, tail and legs to your equine and you will attach the feet to your finished sculpt.
Session 1 is 10:00-16:00 on the 30/6/19
Session 2 is 10:00-16:00 on the 7/7/19
