Class format and activities
This short practical course will introduce you to a range of different approaches to making drawings from observation. You will have the opportunity to work large-scale, and to explore using a variety of drawing materials: pencil, charcoal, graphite stick and ink. You will be introduced to formal elements, such as line, tone, proportion and scale, and explore ways of developing creative approaches through mark-making.
Constructive and supportive feedback from your tutor will help you succeed during the class.
There are no entry requirements. The course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing for a short refresher course.
What you need to know before you enrol
This course takes place in a studio with level access via a lift.
What you will need for your class
Materials are provided. An apron or overall could be useful (or wear old clothes).
