Add colour and interest to your home with beautiful pieces of unique homeware, handmade by you! Join us in the Cotswolds for an adventurous introduction into the world of resin whilst creating useful, practical pieces. Our Home Decor Resin Discover Day is an exciting opportunity for complete beginners looking to express their creativity through styling a coffee tray, a dramatic piece of artwork and a seascape food display board all in one workshop!
You will work with our non-toxic, odourless BPA-free coat-it 1 to 1 epoxy art resin, learning how to measure, mix and pour so that you can continue your resin adventures at home. After a short demonstration from our resin experts, you will be hands-on with our resin and pigments, learning how to:
Prepare and plan your process
Measure, mix and add colour to your resin
Encourage pigment interactions
Embellish your creations with gilding flake, sparkles, colour nuggets, glitter and more!
Explore opaque, transparent and metallic pigments along with our natural mica powder
Pour onto exclusive Resin8 clear acrylic blocks, a wooden serving board and a drinks tray
Achieve a perfect finish, removing any bubbles that appear
Use tips, trade secrets and techniques
Our resin experts will show you how to use pigmented resin, how to manipulate and encourage the direction of flow and you will have the opportunity to use our brilliant selection of Resin8 pigments, sparkle and texture. Please note that it is not possible in a 1 day class to pour in layers.
Your resin artwork will need to cure overnight and therefore will be posted to you after the workshop. Resin gives you wonderful creative freedom. Colour it, make it sparkle and shimmer, embed things in it... the only limit is your imagination!
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
