We will look at how plants, food, and lifestyle play a vital role in our health. Weather permitting this course will include a plant identification walk.

No previous knowledge or experience required. This is an introductory course open to those interested in learning about kitchen & plant remedies and how to use them safely.
What does this course cover
An introduction to the potential healing properties of plants. Learn how to use simple herbal remedies, including traditional home remedies using ingredients commonly found in your kitchen safely and effectively for common minor health problems. We will also look at how diet and lifestyle influence health. You will have the opportunity to try some of the herbs and be encouraged to make some preparations at home. Students will be able to make a simple herbal preparation and know how to work with it therapeutically.
