About the Course

Come and join us for a hedge laying course in the beautiful countryside of St Pauls Walden (near Hitchin) You’ll learn this ancient county craft which has been practiced for hundreds of years but it is just as relevant today as it always has been. Workshop tutor, Donato Cinicolo from St Albans is not only a hedge laying but also a well renowned author, photographer, producer, director and producer. Tickets are £60 which include refreshments
Hedges are important for our wildlife especially small birds, environmental, heritage and scenic value. Helping to create a wildlife corridor.
Hedge laying is the only hedgerow maintenance method currently available which promotes regrowth from ground level and which will ensure the health and longevity of the hedgerow. Once a hedge has been laid regular trimming will keep it in good order for up to 50 years when it may be appropriate to lay the hedge again.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
