Berets have been a style staple for decades and on this taster session you will learn how to reproduce one out of a pre-loved woollen jumper. Use a provided pattern and simple machine stitched seams to up-cycle that over washed and felted favourite into this classic shape. Any 100% wool jumper that has had some felting through wear or hot washing is suitable for this project. It must have enough material in the front and the back for 2 circles, each with a diameter of approx. 35 cm. Ideally it would have a crew neck. No previous experience of the subject is required but basic hand and machine sewing skills are essential. There will a half hour lunch break, please bring a packed lunch.
