About the Course

These are two separate courses taking place on the same day - choose either morning or afternoon or if you wish you may enrol for both and have a longer lunch between 12.30 and 1.30pm

In the morning from 9.30am to 1pm Hand Stencil a stunning Lampshade: Sonja will bring some base fabrics and a variety of stencils for you to use to create a variety of professional patterns in your chosen colours - learning & perfecting the finer points of stencilling. You will first use precut stencils to decorate the fabric before then rolling into a lovely 30cm drum lampshade. The morning will finish with a light lunch between 12.30 and 1pm. Materials charge £5 to cover inks/ fabric

In the afternoon . . .
Lampshade Making: Bring your own material or perhaps choose some of Sonja's lovely selection and let her show you how to make a perfect hand rolled drum lampshade. This course runs Tues 26 June in the afternoon 1pm to 3.30pm and includes a light lunch between 1pm and 1.30pm. No materials charge

What's included in the price?

Morning Course 9.30am - 1pm : Stencil and Roll a lampshade includes use of stencils, paints and inks and the 30cm lampshade kit. Welcome drinks : fresh coffee & a light soup and bread lunch. Materials charge £5 payable on the day to tutor to cover inks/ fabric

Afternoon Course 1pm to 3.30pm Roll a drum lampshade with your own fabric or Sonja's ..inc a light lunch - soup and bread , and the 30cm lampshade kit. Everything is included if you wish to use your own fabric ...however if you wish to buy some of Sonja's lovely fabric it will cost a few £ extra.

Our days are considered special treats; many come back time and time again and often combine it with a short break to the Lake District.
