In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to make three delicately embroidered stitched pieces using Julie’s favourite applique method.
This workshop will be delivered virtually via the online platform Zoom so you will need to make sure that you have a suitable device and a strong wifi, you do not need to have an account to join. Just before the workshop, you will be sent the link to join via zoom. There will be a limited number of participants so you will be able to interact with other participants and the tutor throughout. This is such a great way to learn a new skill in the comfort of your own home. At the end of the session, you will be shown many examples of other projects you could try by yourself.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
Prior to the workshop you will be sent a pack of materials, blank cards and preparation notes. Please book in time for materials to be posted to you (at least a week).
During the workshop, each stage will include several demonstrations. You will be shown how to create a layered foreground using snippets of fabric and dyed lace then will work on top using embroidery stitches. We will work into 3 cards as there will not be time for 4. After the workshop you will be emailed the workshop notes which will include the 4 designs so that you can complete the last one independently.
For the workshop you will need: scissors, pins, normal sewing thread, a frixion pen (or other transfer pen), some double sided tape and an iron.
