Hand Applique and Embroidery
Contact course provider
About the Course
Appliqué is a wonderful, versatile and creative technique that has been in use, and developing, for hundreds of years. It is a sewing technique in which fabric pieces – large or small – are layered on a foundation, or base, fabric, then stitched in place by hand or machine.
This course is a mixture of applique and hand embroidery. All designs/patterns, supplies and materials will be supplied. You will learn a few basic embroidery stitches, whilst adding beads and or sequins (if you wish) and create your own applique design. You will have a choice of 5 templates that can be used on tablecloths, pillows; cushions, bags, almost any type of linen and taught several embroidery stitches.
