This is a very hands-on experience in a working glass studio. The class has a maximum of eight people; with two tutors so you are assured of individual teaching and support. We will explain the equipment in the studio and how to work safely in a challenging environment. You will be guided through the basics of working with hot glass and will become familiar with the traditional glass making tools and equipment. You will move quickly on to gathering hot glass from the furnace, shaping it and applying colour. These new skills will enable you to make a piece such as a paperweight. There will be a demonstration of glass blowing.
The class is suitable for complete beginners.
The glass studio is easy to reach from London and the Midlands.
