About the Course
One day glass fusing workshop in Cambridge with Jill Fordham
This glass fusing course offers the opportunity for participants to create small decorative items that could be made into jewellery or ornaments. By cutting and layering sheet glass and other materials you can create patterns and shapes that then blend according to the firing. The morning will focus on learning about design, creating shapes, materials that can be fused with the glass and ways of mounting glass for jewellery. The afternoon will focus on exploring colour and incorporating all these elements into designs.
Pieces made on this course will need to be fired in our kiln. This is a long process so will not be completed during the day. Participants will be invited to collect their pieces at a future date or can request for them to be posted to them at an extra cost.

Jill is a wonderful teacher with years of experience of glass art and teaching under her belt. Having never done anything like this before I was able to produce beautiful pieces in just a few short hours! The space at Cambridge Makers is also really lovely and welcoming and has excellent facilities.
