Description
Step into the enchanting world of fused glass—like Alice through the looking glass—and explore an art form that predates even glassblowing. Dating back over 4,000 years, glass fusing was once used to create jewellery and small decorative items. Today, this ancient technique is brought to life with modern tools and creative flair, allowing you to design vibrant, tactile artworks that reflect your personal style. During this full-day workshop, you’ll learn how to layer and arrange colourful glass pieces before they’re fused together in a kiln, creating smooth and striking designs. Whether you're drawn to making coasters, decorative panels, or experimenting with jewellery, the process is accessible for complete beginners while still offering depth for those with experience. You’ll have the chance to try both full fuse and tack fusing techniques. Led by skilled instructors, the day offers a balance of hands-on learning, creative freedom, and social connection. You’ll be encouraged to explore textures, layering, and colour while working at your own pace in a relaxed and friendly environment. With plenty of tea, conversation, and expert guidance throughout, it’s a welcoming space to experiment, connect with others, and create something beautiful to take home.
