About the Course
Will has been teaching glass blowing for many years. You may have seen him on Kirstie's Homemade Home and Kirstie's Homemade Christmas teaching Kirstie Allsopp, or in the national newspapers.
Our Taster Class - The class will give you an opportunity to try your hand at blowing a small clear glass vessel and dish, and experience the unique problems that working with molten glass pose. It will include basic glassmaking techniques such as marvering and blowing.
Classes are held on Saturday mornings and start at 9.30am. Classes are approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours long.
You can keep everything that you make, although you will not be able to take it home with you on the day because it has to anneal overnight.
Class details - maximum 4 people, throughout the year.
We try to keep sessions flexible. If you can organize your own group of four people for any session we can often teach on a different night or a particular day.
Please note that if you have any health issues or hearing impediment of any kind it would be advisable to contact us. We do reserve the right to not teach you if we feel it is unsafe to do so.
"Will, you made it all such fun – and I was thrilled at how many things I actually made. Thank you for such a fantastic time."
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
