About the Course
This workshop will give you a taste of the exciting possibilities of working with glass to make your own unique fused glass art. Enjoy learning something new in a friendly and relaxed environment with like-minded people.
The course is designed to suit all levels. Small group sizes mean that you can work at your own level and explore new ideas for working with glass.
You will learn how to cut glass safely and then design and assemble your piece(s) ready for kiln firing.
The courses take place in the artist's studio in Cheshire and includes all materials and tools required for the day - plus a delicious home-made lunch.
A good selection of specialist books and design resources are available for use at the studio. Your work will be fired after the workshop and ready for collection 1-2 weeks later.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
A range of professional materials are included on this course as well as all tools required for the day.
The price also includes a delicious home-made lunch (including gorgeous cakes) and tea, coffee etc throughout the day.
My wife bought my friend & I a one-day stained glass course & we both had an excellent time!
Patricia is really helpful & friendly, & provided us with excellent tuition & some top notch grub!
The course was well designed, taking us through all the basic techniques in her very well equipped workshop. Everyone went home with a finished stained glass panel, & I would heartily recommend Patricia & her courses to everyone!

Really enjoyed the course, very relaxed, friendly and informal. Beautiful food at lunch time.
I came away with enough knowledge to do it all again on my own.
Great course, thank you Patricia

My son was completing his BTEC art and design course at college but was frustrated by the lack of practical experience offered and this was affecting his confidence in his choice of future career so I booked us both places on one of Patricia's glass fusing sessions. I can honestly say it was the best decision I could have made. Patricia was so lovely and allowed my son to experiment with different techniques. By the end of the day he had regained his confidence and his passion for art ... And I had a great time too!

Had a great day, small number of participants which made for a great course. The atmosphere was so friendly with plenty of jokes. My family brought this as my 60th birtday present as i wanted to extend my skills never having worked with glass. I am a technology teacher and this is another skill/experience. The food was great with plenty of brews to keep us going. Patricia is a great knowledgeable teacher who interacts so well with us all.

We've been on a few of Patricia's courses and we’re looking forward to the next one in eight days time. Patricia has a lovely laid back, calm teaching style and we really enjoy our days in her studio. There’s always a good mix of people with varying skill levels but the guidance given to everyone is the same - positive, helpful and inspirational. The artwork we've produced is great, much admired, and we can’t wait to make more! For foodies, the home made soup and cakes are delicious in winter and the summertime sandwiches and tea in the garden is a relaxing interlude before the next session of creativity. For dog lovers, there's the delightful Scooby who loves a cuddle. The whole experience is brilliant and very highly recommended.

Response from Patricia Lee Glass Art and Mosaic:Thank you so much for your lovely review Paul. There's always quite a mix of people on the workshops but everyone just gets on so well together. It doesn't feel like work for me 😊 It's always a pleasure to see you and Joan and lovely to meet your daughter as well this time. Sneaky though, not telling me it was your birthday until you were leaving. Patricia x
I bought a voucher for my sister for her birthday for the glass fusing course and we went together. What a brilliant day, lovely people to chat to, Patricia’s guidance and expertise, a beautiful home made lunch (thanks for catering for GF too!). We learned how to cut glass and make our designs. There were lots of great ideas to chose from or you could take your own. My sister said it was one of the best Birthdays she has had. Thanks Patricia x
Jude Murphy - - #19973
Response from Patricia Lee Glass Art and Mosaic:Aaw thank you Jude. I'm glad Rachel enjoyed her birthday treat. No problem at all to cater for dietary requirements - in fact we've decided that the gluten free chocolate brownies are better than non GF! Patricia x
I’ve always wanted to have a go at glass fusing and absolutely loved this course with Patricia. She has so much experience and is a great tutor. I made some great pieces and have them displayed at home with pride. 5 ⭐️. Highly recommended.

Response from Patricia Lee Glass Art and Mosaic:Hi Thelma. It's always a pleasure to see you on the workshops - especially when you bring homemade doggy cake for Scooby. See you next time. Patricia x
I have done two courses with Patricia and have enjoyed both immensely. The Christmas workshop was great fun and I learned a lot on the one day beginners course. It was great to take home a piece of work that I was really proud of.

I completed a Christmas gift morning. I learned so much in a short space of time. The group I was with hardly spoke as we were so engrossed in what we were doing. This is a really good fun course to do and Patricia is an excellent teacher

I enjoyed my first glass fusion course (Nov 16) that much that I signed up for another one in January 17 with a friend. On arrival you are welcomed in with a hot drink of your choice. In the morning you make a clear piece of art work / ornament using 'float' glass. In the afternoon you move on to 'spectrum' glass where colours used. Patricia offers just the right amount of guidance / tuition whilst at the same time you can enjoy doing a bit of what you fancy. The two homemade soups (most guests try both!) and bread is delicious. Hard to find room for the equally delicious cakes on offer. I'm delighted with my glass pieces and look forward to another session towards the end of this year. I can highly recommend.

My best friend bought me this amazing gift. It's the best present I've ever had! I've never done anything like this before but Patricia is so talented at both explaining and producing great work that I felt confident to just get stuck in. I can't wait to see what my fish and my house turn out like after firing. Fiona and I were already planning our next course on our way home!
Many thanks to Patricia and her family for a fantastic day including an absolutely delicious lunch. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Spent today on Patricia's short glass fusing course which was brilliant. I'm not very artistic but it appears you don't need to be. Created a wall hanging and plaque to mount and frame which I am pleased as punch with. Met some lovely people and the tea and cakes were pretty good too.

Had a fantastic day on the Stained glass course. I made a
panel. Learnt loads and got a great meal. What's made me book
the next course on fusing is the great informal learning experience you get at Patricia's. I've made my cutting board already and have started buying the tools. What more can I say.

My partner bought me a gift voucher as a birthday present for glass fusing. It was a great prezzie because I had just bought a kiln.
Patricia is a very likable, friendly & patient tutor. The facilities are excellent, plenty of equipment and a varied choice of materials for everyone's needs.
The home cooked food just added that extra special touch to a very pleasant and thoughly enjoyable day. I'm really pleased with my fused glass plate. I would highly recommended Patricia and her course. Excellent teacher - talented artist.

I went along with some friends and really enjoyed the day. I had no experience whatsoever but that didn't matter as Patricia was on hand all the time to guide us through. We had full use of all of her equipment - and the lunch was excellent.
We are now saving up for the mosaic course!
Anne - - #2063

I've been lucky enough to have been on two of Patricia's craft courses - one fused glass and a mosaic one too.
I thoroughly enjoyed both courses - she's an excellent tutor! She creates a relaxed environment and explains everything really clearly giving expert advice and a helping hand when needed!!
I was delighted with the artwork I created on both days and have to say I have become somewhat addicted and that is very much down to Patricia's enthusiasm for her work which she passes onto her students!!
Claire Gratton - - #1188
Really enjoyed the glass fusion workshop and was very pleased with the plate I made, which now has pride of place in my dining room. I've also attended Patricia's mosaic and stained glass workshops which were brilliant. Having all the materials provided and a good teacher to boot was well worth it. Oh, and the lunch's were very tasty as well!
Gill Forward - - #1171
Fantastic course, ended up making a lovely dish to stand a candle on and two matching tea light holders. The course was informative with all materials and a lovely lunch provided. I attended with my cousin and we were so impressed that we are going to complete Patricia's mosaic course in June.
