In the 5 evening workshop sessions you will create a variety of jewellery and be introduced to a range of techniques. This will include vitreous enamelling, epoxy resin casting and traditional silver jewellery making. You can make pendant drops, earrings and Christmas decorations which you then may chose to give as Christmas presents.
Week One - Thursday 4th November 6-8.30pm
Fee will begin with a short talk on vitreous enamelling. Then you will be able to experiment with colour and embellishments. In this workshop you will be able to create multiple pieces including pendant drop, earrings and/or Christmas decoration. A supply of various copper shapes will be provided.
Week Two - Thursday 11th November 6-8.30pm
Fee will begin the session with a short talk about epoxy resin and its applications. You will be able to create various pieces using different shaped moulds. In this workshop you can set small keepsakes or inclusions in to the resin. This could be small shells, beads, dried flowers or glitter.
Week Three - Thursday 18th November 6-8.30pm
This week you will see how your past cast resin and enamelled projects can be turned in to jewellery. You will also learn the importance of finishing processes.
Week Four - Thursday 25th November 6-8.30pm
In this workshop you will create two pairs of stud earrings, one pair in copper and one in silver. You will experiment with different stamps and textures on the metal. You will be shown some traditional processes including how to shape and soldier your earrings.
Week Five - Thursday 2nd December 6-8.30pm
In this final workshop you can finish any previous projects. If you have time, you can also create an additional enamelled piece.

All tools and materials are provided. Turn up ready for a 6pm start on Thursday evenings with clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and sturdy shoes/boots suitable for a workshop. Your legs need to be covered and please bring an apron if you have one.
