Getting Started Making Silver Clay Jewellery - Detailed Online Beginners Course

Have you thought about making your own silver clay jewellery, but not sure how to get started? Been watching YouTube videos, but feel like you need some more information and support? This online course gives an in depth introduction to the key different ways of working with silver clay to create your own solid silver jewellery at home. Silver clay is a relatively new jewellery material, literally a clay made from real silver particles, mixed with a water based binder that holds them together and allows it to be worked and shaped. The clay is modelled, shaped, detailed; then dried out, further refining, joining and working can be done with the dry clay, and when the piece is finally complete, it is fired to burn away the binder and sinter the silver particles together, leaving a solid silver piece that just needs polishing and wearing! Let me introduce the clay, how to work with it in different ways, how to store it, key tools and accessories, and different easy ways to fire the clay at home. The course includes a number of detailed step by step videos of each process and project, as well as detailed pdf handouts that you can read onscreen or download and print off. Each section / project allows you to upload pictures of your work for feedback and advice (if you do this at every stage, you'll also receive a certificate at the end of the course), and support by e-mail is always available at any time if you have questions as you work through the course.
