About the Course
Come and learn how to paint with a smooth, flawless finish and create geometric masking tape designs as I do with my Done up North furniture.
You'll get a wooden box to customise with a striking design of your own choice which you keep to take home at the end.
We'll be working with Fusion Mineral Paint which is a cutting edge furniture paint purposely created to be super tough and durable but also great to work with.
You'll get to try any of the almost 60 colours in the range as well as all of the Metallics - and find out just why this fast becoming the go-to furniture paint for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike!
*On the December workshops you will also be able to add festive embellishments such as stencilled designs and lettering to create a special Christmas Box!*
We'll explore the step-by-step process of prepping and painting furniture and you'll leave armed with the knowledge of how achieve long-lasting results on your future furniture makeover projects.
We'll then work on creating a contemporary design to enhance your piece such as colour blocking or geometric designs using masking tape and I'll show you the techniques I use to ensure the best results every time!
I'll share all my tips and experience for sourcing, upcycling and protective finishes for furniture too.

No experience is necessary and all abilities are welcome. Wearing clothes suitable for painting is a good idea but an apron will be provided. All other materials will be supplied.
Refreshments will be available during the workshop and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get advice for your projects while you are painting too.
I'll also give you my furniture painting guide to take away and prep tip and colour cards to take home with you. You can buy products from the Fusion Mineral Paint range paint at a discount on the evening too

I am a full-time professional furniture re-designer and upcycler making high-end statement pieces for sale and for commission projects for clients across the country, specialising in creating Art Deco and Mid Century style Modern geometric designs.
I have been teaching painting and upcycling workshops for two years now and I absolutely love doing them! I'm also an Associate Member of the British Institute of Interior Designers and also hold a qualification in Interior Design.

Full payment is required in advance before attending. The workshops are non-refundable, except in certain circumstances. If you are unable to attend please notify us as soon as you can and we will do our best to transfer you to another date. Please get in touch should you have any issues or if you have any other questions about workshops and we'll do our best to help.
We reserve the right to reschedule a workshop if numbers are too low to make it viable to run or will offer to transfer any bookings to other available dates.
Materials provided for the workshop are for personal use only and must not be reproduced.

What's included in the price?
We will provide you with a natural wood box ( 20 x 25 x 10cm) or an A3 piece of reclaimed wood to work on and take home with you afterwards.
We'll provide you with tip cards and furniture painting guide to take away.
All other materials will be provided for the workshop including aprons (although it's advisable to wear something you don't mind getting paint on).
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get advice for your projects while you are painting too.
Refreshments will be available during the workshop.
