Gelli plate printing 1 day Worthing

Tricia Johnson (day dreaming)

Spend a fun day learning how to 'mono-print' with a gelli plate.
Learn about the marks and textures you can create, along with how to layer colours and patterns.

This is a friendly workshop for all abilities. During the day you will learn about the different equipment you can use. You will create mark making samples, coloured layers and use stencils. You will learn what mono-print means and how to express your own artistic style through your prints.

You will also have the opportunity to move on to some advanced techniques using 'masks' and duplicating magazine pages.

You will return home with armfuls of prints to use either as card design, abstract images or for collage.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All basic equipment will be supplied.

But if you would like to bring some of your own things:
Gelli plate
Acrylic paints
Paint brush and roller

I suggest you bring a selection of thin papers to print on to and any rubber/foam stamps you may have.

Gelli plate printing can get messy so you may want to wear some 'arty' clothes!

Beautiful model and plenty of instructions from Tricia. Made unpleasant by the necessity of having to wear masks all day. Shame the November session has been cancelled, but looking forward to February 2021!

Response from Art with Tricia:

Thanks for your feedback.
Fingers crossed our 2021 courses won't have such strict COVID restrictions and we may be able to dispense with masks.
I'm glad you enjoyed the session otherwise.
