About the Course

Get started with making beautifully fragranced and coloured container candles in a relaxed, easy to follow step by step process, one-to-one online workshop.

Learn to use fragrances and colours to make candles in glass containers and teacups. This is a great place to start learning the craft of candle making.

I will contact you within 24 hours hours of your purchase of this online workshop to arrange your individual session for a mutually convenient date and time (7 day a week availability 9am-9pm). If you have any questions before or after purchase please let me know - happy to help!

During this 1.5 hour workshop you will find out about the different kinds of candles which can be made along with different types of wax for various candles, and how to add fragrances and colours. We will be concentrating on starting with the basics of container candle making, including:

What equipment and supplies do you need
Which containers are suitable for candles and how to prepare them
Wicks and wick sizes explained
Which wax to use and the best method of melting wax
How to add colour and fragrance
Pouring wax and securing the wick
Troubleshooting bubbles, surface pitting, wet spots and other candle issues.
Health and Safety whilst candle making and storing consumables
Introduction to safety labelling for candles if you are wanting to sell candles online or in person.
Suppliers of candle making equipment and consumables (UK)

I will demonstrate how to make a glass container or tin can candle as well as a teacup and saucer candle, using soy wax and by adding choices of colour and fragrances.

If you have the supplies and equipment already, you can follow along with me during the demonstration and you will have access to the video replay after our one to one.

If you want to see what you need first before purchasing your candle making equipment, you will also have access to the video replay after our one to one.

You will be invited to an online group just for Workshop attendees where you can continue to ask questions about making candles and any issues which you may be having. And where you can share your lovely handmade candles too!

We will have time to discuss making other kinds of candles such as pillar candles, wax melts, floating candles, striped and marble candles, and much more.
